Eastern Chipmunks mate in early spring and again in early summer, they only live 2-4 years. The chipmunk is about 7 in tall which is the tallest it will get. Also only about 2 in. wide. The color of there fur is normaly brown with a black strip down the middle. They eat acorns and other nuts. Beware at barbeques, they will eat your scraps. It is very strange that the chipmunk mated with the sparrow. The sparrow has not been found yet. The chipmunk however was. It was dead due to the pregnancy. It weighed 20 pounds because of the egg.
